The flowers are coming along rapidly now. I’ve never seen such a lush spring. The grass is absolutely vibrant and the flowering trees were amazing. This weekend isn’t about gardening (although I still haven’t planted the veggie garden). Instead of playing in the blossoms, we’re painting the porch – imagine wooden, old, covered in decades of paint. We’ve scrapped as much as we can. Now, my kids and I are going to paint and paint and paint this weekend. The guy at the paint store assured me that I really did need the expensive product. Hopefully, he’s right and we can do two coats and not three.
Once the painting is done, it’ll be time to sit on the porch, sip a beverage, and write away the summer.
