Oh, the things I’ll learn…a novelist researches the delicious

Beginning a new series is an intimidating endeavor, but this one promises to be delicious. I’ve begun what I’m tentatively calling, The Wainwright Series. Contemporary Romances set on a Virginia Plantation being used as an inn. Natty, the star of the first book, is a pastry chef who concocts some amazing creations in the inn’s kitchen. Dan, her boss and co-owner, doesn’t eat dessert. I think she’ll be able to tempt him to indulge in a variety of sweet morsels before the book’s end.

For me, I get to research and experiment with fancy desserts. I read about and even already wrote about how Natty forms apple slices into roses. This morning, I tried it.
